Limebloods and Mutants

Limebloods

Limes are removed from society during colony transfer. Once they reach 9 sweeps during the transition they are sanctioned off to a separate terminal. During this time their possessions will be stripped from them and they will be given new empire issued uniforms and a number. These uniforms include a mask that covers their mouth and keeps them from speaking. As for the number they will only be addressed by it from now on, for limes it is usually L- (followed by a number). They are not permitted to join the military, they will be outright denied.

Lime abilities: their voices can emotionally manipulate other trolls. When a lime speaks while using their abilities they are able to cause emotional reactions from others that can be used to manipulate them. This ranges from calming others to making them cry or sending them into a rage. The weakest version of this being for example hearing lime hum a sad song and starting to cry even if the troll doesn’t feel sad in the slightest. The strongest is having the ability to just talk and completely manipulate a person into doing what the lime wants, complete emotional hypnosis using only voice.

Lime bloods dont get to participate in any sort of schooling, they arent on the roster. most limes tend to learn things by themselves, they are still provided with the necessities to live the same as every other young troll. This still creates a separation between limes and most other castes even without being physically separate. Some limes tend to try to get into schoolfeeding but when or if they are found by nanny drones they will be removed from the premises, this also goes for mutants. if you are not on the roster you are not allowed to participate.

Limes also do not get any notice of joining a colony when they sign up for one, they do not get new ID's and they do not get any papers. This usually results in trying to recover what they can during the night of remotion. However once you enter that room the drones will not let you leave until you have your registration. They need to prick their finger on the reader for late registrations at that point the drones will automatically recognized them and take them to their separate terminal. If you try to escape or put up a fight you will be culled. stolen ID cards and papers also don't work, you need to match that card and the name and data on the registration and you need to match the DNA signature. They are

very strict with how they deal with limes and mutants. The worst part is they are told absolutely nothing, not even normal trolls know what happens to limes and mutants. All they know is that you will never see one in adult society.

Mutants

Mutants are also removed from society once they turn 9 sweeps old. They are put on the same ship as limes during transit and given the same uniforms, the only difference is they are not given the masks. The numbers for mutants is M-(followed by a number)

What classifies as a mutant: Any troll that has abilities that are outside their cast range and are deemed a “threat” to society. So there is still a decent amount of leeway when it comes to trolls having powers out of their castes, more room is given for highbloods than lowbloods. Other reasons a troll may be taken out of adult society is because they are considered to have undesirable genes. This includes unwanted physical mutations, mental mutations and blood mutations. Any troll with fins and gills that isn’t a violet or a tyrian is a mutant and is considered an insult to the caste system. Any blood colors with lack of chroma are considered a mutation because you are unable to attract a lusus of the same color to take care of you.

Yes this means that white, grey and black bloods exist as well as pastel bloods. The mutation is categorized as lack of chroma. The same goes for the candy red mutation they are all considered “undesirables”. Since there is a vast range of mutations that fall outside of the system there are no specific colors or descriptions for what can and cant exist.

Mental mutations is a tricky one because if your able to hide your abilities and are able to function in society you can get away with it, if your not able to you’re an undesirable to the empire and not aloud to pass on your genes to the next generation.

In simple eugenics is a bitch but we all know alternia would.
